You may arrive anytime after 12:00 noon on Friday morning. Gate 5 will close at 10:00 p.m. on Friday. Gate 5 will open at 7:00 a.m. on Saturday and close at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. On Sunday it will open at 7:00 a.m., but close at 10:00 a.m. It will not be opened until after the last battle on Saturday.

If you arrive after 11:00 a.m. on Saturday or 10:00 a.m. on Sunday when the event is open to the public, you must use the Spring Street entrance (the park's main entrance) and you will have to pay admission to the park (although not for admission to Area III, our reenactment site).

Gate 5 will close at 10:00 p.m. on Saturday! All other gates to the park will close at dusk, except for the Wardlow Road gate for those exiting only. Only emergency entrance and exit will be allowed Saturday night through Gate 5 after 10:00 p.m. Issues such as bad traffic conditions and "the service was slow at the restaurant" do not constitute an emergency.

If you party too long on Saturday night at one of the many restaurants in the Long Beach Towne Center, you will find yourself unable to get back into the park. While this should be of concern to some party-goers, the restricted access will add a layer of security that everyone else will appreciate.

If, as last year, some of you stay out eating after 10:00 p.m., do not be concerned, there are numerous hotels/motels in the area. And last of all, no one is imprisoned in the park on Saturday night, as the exit on Wardlow Road will be open throughout the event. You simply cannot re-enter the park in a vehicle without damaging tires if you do leave via this exit.

So, in order to summarize, Gate 5 will be open as follows:

12:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m. Friday

7:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Saturday

After the last battle to 10:00 p.m. on Saturday

7:00 a.m. - 10:00 a.m. on Sunday

After the last battle on Sunday all vehicles are out

The Wardlow Road exit will be open for vehicles leaving the site all weekend.
